Research Interests

My research combines data-driven modeling with physical principles to develop robust and consistent system models.

Methodological Focus

  • Physics-informed approaches: Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) with physical constraints; Diffusion models for the physically plausible generation of stochastic processes
  • Generative models: GANs and autoencoders (VAEs/AE) for analyzing latent system states and modeling complex data distributions
  • AI Agents & Autonomous Systems: Development of intelligent agents for dynamic environments; control via reinforcement learning based on Bellman and Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman principles
  • Interpretability: XAI methods for complex architectures (Transformer, EvoFormer) and for Computer Vision; Random forests as a bridge between predictive power and transparency
  • NLP & statistical analysis: Syntax analysis and information extraction for pattern and anomaly detection in unstructured text data
  • Data Science & Data Analysis: Exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical modeling to extract relevant patterns from complex, high-dimensional data sets
